Wearing battered, tarnished armor and a tattered cloak. Quiet. He's here for vengeance on someone. Ilya contains multitudes, including (so far):
- Aenid: A motherly figure who clearly misses her family. What dark fate befell them?

- Alexi: An 8 year old boy. Perhaps one of Dmitri's children? Idolizes Ireena.

Felix Sable

Ambition

A pallid, off-white Tiefling woman. She has black hair, pointed ears, and a pair of horns reminiscent of a ram. Her eyes seem to be entirely pupil; two inky black voids with an otherworldly feel. She wears a tabard over (mostly) hidden chain mail, though her right arm is entirely plated, down to her gauntlet. Cleric of Bane although this is not widely known. She carries so many cursed artifacts that magical detection systems treat her as a walking threat.

NPCs

Ireena Kolyana

Knight of Ivlisgrad and adopted daughter of Koyan Indirovich, though ethnically Vistani. She's been bitten by Strahd multiple times and is showing signs of vampiric transformation. Strahd appears to be romantically obsessed with her, making her a primary target of his attention. The Abbot of Krezk has slowed her transformation, giving her approximately one month before she turns completely.

Ismark Kolyana

Current Burgomeister of Ivlisgrad and biological son of Kolyan Indirovich. Brother to Ireena Kolyana and leader of the town's governance in these dark times.

Strahd von Zarovich

The Vampire Lord who rules Barovia and controls the mists that trap people within its borders. He fears Sergei's Sword above all other weapons, as much as he fears the sun itself according to his own journal. He practices psychological warfare by systematically targeting the children of his enemies.

Barbara

A young, malnourished girl from Vallakia who was rescued from hags but is now infected with vampirism after Osybus fed upon her. She's traumatized after watching her father's corpse be possessed and used as a puppet. The Abbot of Krezk has slowed her transformation, giving her approximately three weeks before she turns completely.

Danika Dorakova

Bartender and co-owner of the Blue Water Inn in Vallakia with her husband Urwin Martikov. She's a member of the family that runs the Wizard of Wines winery and seems particularly fond of ravens, serving as a font of local knowledge.

Urwin Martikov

Co-owner of the Blue Water Inn in Vallakia, married to Danika Dorakova. He's well-informed about local affairs and loves to gossip, making him a valuable source of information.

Father Lucian Petrovich

Priest of St. Andral's Church in Vallakia and the city's religious leader. He's knowledgeable about Vallaki's politics and religious tensions, and has suggested seeking the Abbot of Krezk for help with vampiric curses.

Rictavio

A wandering bard who claims to be a vampire hunter mentored by Von Richten himself. His current whereabouts are unknown, but he's suggested looking in the western wilderness of Barovia for his master.

Meriah Toranescu

A werewolf leader who appears human and was the last known holder of the Holy Symbol of Ravenkind. Her mother was a Mistwalker and worshiper of Selûne, and she appears to follow the same path. She's connected to old werewolf nobility that the people of Krezk recognize. We found one of her hand-carved a wooden statuettes at the Shrine of the Lady of Moonlight in Keltavar Village near Krezk.

General Vladimir Horngaard

Revenant leader of the remains of the Silver Order of Paladins and TK's uncle. He's enormously powerful but refuses to truly fight Strahd, preferring to keep him alive and contained in Barovia as punishment.

Lieutenant Godfrey Gwilym

General Horngaard's right-hand man and Ilya's mentor, now confined by the General's orders to the mausoleum at Argynvostholt. He's working to recover the skeleton of the dragon Argynvost.

Baba Lysaga

A cannibalistic witch of immense power and one of Strahd's four Wardens of Barovia since his initial invasion. She single-handedly destroyed the town of Berez and currently holds the Skull of Argynvost.

Bartholomew

A farmer who was rescued from enchanted enslavement at Raven River Farmstead. He represents one of the many innocents caught up in Barovia's supernatural conflicts.

Abbot of Krezk

A seven-foot-tall Celestial disguised as human who lives in the abbey overlooking Krezk. He wears flowing black robes and has remained unchanged for two centuries. Without the Holy Symbol of Ravenkind, he can only slow vampiric transformations rather than cure them completely. His healing is corrupted by Strahd's curse, causing patients to transform into mongrel folk.

Margarette

One of the Abbot's followers, transformed into a spider/scorpion/woman chimera. Despite her monstrous appearance, she seems friendly and claims her condition results from Barovia's curse perverting the Abbot's healing.

Felix (the cat)

Margarette's skeletal pet cat, representing the strange and macabre nature of life around the Abbot of Krezk. An oddly endearing companion despite its undead state and unfortunate name.

General Dmitry Krezkov

Military leader of Krezk and bearer of old Barovian noble blood. Lost all four of his children to Strahd's systematic targeting of his family, driving him to lead the rebellion from Krezk with deep personal hatred for the vampire lord. He carries intense rage toward both Strahd and the werewolf clans.

Osybus

A vampiric entity who possessed Barbara's father's body and fed upon her in Vallakia. He claims there's no cure for vampirism, but his truthfulness is questionable given his evil nature.

Gertruda

A local who was recently abducted and has information about her captor - a "creepy man" who visited her father's shop asking strange questions. She's agreed to provide a sketch of this mysterious individual.

Von Richten

A famous monster hunter known throughout Barovia, though his current location is unknown. Rictavio claims to know him and suggests searching the western wilderness of Barovia.

Lady Fiona Wachter

A person of interest in Vallakia who supposedly possesses a rare map of Barovia, according to Father Lucian. Maps are scarce as Strahd prefers to keep the populace uncertain about their surroundings.

Kiril Stoyanovich

The current Apex of all werewolf clans who has unified every clan under his banner through unnatural supernatural authority. His voice carries absolute command over all werewolves except clan chieftains, forcing them to obey without question. He has allied with Strahd and Castle Ravenloft, breaking the peace treaty between the werewolf clans and Krezk.

Otto

A mongrelfolk guard at the gates of Krezk who displays simple loyalty and dog-like devotion. He represents the tragedy of the Abbot's corrupted healing, showing innocence transformed by Strahd's curse over the land.

Eugene

An artificer in Krezk with extensive knowledge of arcane engineering and inventor of powerful automatons and explosives. Originally from Eberron, he's been trapped in Barovia for decades awaiting news from his homeland. He's gifted the party silvered weapons and experimental grenades dubbed "Fuck You orbs."

Mayor Agnes

Leader of Keltavar Village who maintains dignity and composure despite her community's desperate circumstances. She carries the responsibility of protecting her people from the Permafrost Demon and werewolf threats.

Zuleika Toranescu

Werewolf chieftain and daughter of Meriah Toranescu, bearing a strong resemblance to her mother with the same proud bearing and cautious intelligence. Black veins run from her heart to her throat due to corruption from a failed ritual with Mother Night that should have blessed her and her twin brother Romulus. She leads a tribe of a dozen werewolves living in a cave behind the waterfall upstream from the Shrine of the Lady of Moonlight, forced to terrorize Keltavar Village under Kiril's supernatural command despite wanting peace.

Romulus Toranescu

Twin brother of Zuleika Toranescu and son of Meriah Toranescu, corrupted by the same failed Mother Night ritual that left black veins from his heart to his throat. Currently imprisoned by the Torok werewolf tribe and driven by visions he claims are prophetic. He follows his mother's creed: "There is no call we do not answer, no faith that we betray."

The shrine consists of a sacred pool, fed by a mountain stream, and a large wooden statue of The Lady at it's edge. Active Quests

Escape Barovia

Kill Strahd von Zarovich to lift the curse of the Mists and allow the party to leave Barovia. This primary objective drives all other activities in the campaign.

Both Ireena Kolyana and Barbara are transforming into vampires - Ireena has approximately one month, Barbara has three weeks. The Abbot of Krezk can only slow the process without the Holy Symbol of Ravenkind.

Locate the Holy Symbol of Ravenkind

Find this divine relic that the Abbot of Krezk used two centuries ago to completely cure vampirism. Romulus Toranescu likely has it and may honor his mother's promise to lend it when needed.

Rescue Romulus Toranescu

Free Romulus Toranescu from imprisonment by the Torok werewolf tribe to reunite the Toranescu twins and potentially gain access to the Holy Symbol of Ravenkind.

Locate the famous monster hunter who could prove a valuable ally against Strahd. Rictavio suggests searching the western wilderness of Barovia and claims he can help make contact.

Obtain Blessed Holy Water

Have Father Lucian bless more holy water using 100 gold pieces worth of powdered silver, which can be purchased at Vallakia's Night Market.

Acquire a Map of Barovia

Obtain a map from Fiona Wachter or another source, as Strahd deliberately keeps maps scarce to maintain the populace's fear and uncertainty.

Find Sergei's Sword

Locate this weapon that Strahd fears above all other weapons according to his own journal. The sword could provide a significant advantage in the final confrontation.

Cure the Bloodseekers' Vampirism

Use the strange blood vials found in the Vallakia sewer lair to find a cure for vampirism. This research might also help other infected party members despite Osybus's claims that no cure exists.

Uncover TK's Past

Help TK understand his history through the revealing dreams and visions he's experienced in Vallakia. Evidence suggests he was a member of the Silver Order of Paladins before Strahd's invasion.

Discover Felix's Correspondent

Identify who sent the mysterious, accusatory letter to Felix and what they know about him. The childish handwriting and serious accusations suggest a dangerous secret from his past.

Defeat Baba Lysaga and Recover Argynvost's Skull

Return the Krezk Knight's Locket

Deliver a locket containing a knight's final recorded message to his family in Krezk. This personal quest honors the valor of a fallen warrior.

Address the Werewolf War
